Scott Goldsmith's Juggernaut 402

This review was taken from the azfba.com website and is written by Scott Goldsmith...

Well, the beast is finally back on the road, Sean did a wonderful job, not too shabby for a first time Street Twin victim

The car is absolutely wonderful, much better than it was. I got the following done...

  • Remove Street Twin, get rebuilt and reinstall.
  • Replace the front lower control arm bushings on both LCA's, along with the ball joints, this was VERY hard as some of the bolts were impossible to get, so he had to lower the motor down to get them out.
  • Remove tranny (of course) and I had Wayne look through it and I had to replace the input shaft seal and 5/6 syncro, for some reason they were bad.
  • Install my new Pro 5.0 shifter.
  • Replace the O2's with new Delphi ones, phuqing expensive

All that took a long time, the clutch took 4 weeks to get back from McLeod, so he had to deal with my pile down there for a month and a half, he put a ton of time into this, double checking everything, making sure the car stayed safe inside, clean as it could be, and it came out great. I would never have done this, hence me taking it in, I was fed up with it. Now there is NO chatter in the clutch, perfect engagement, McLeod actually replace the Master Cylinder I sent back with a new one, they said mine was an old version and they swapped it out for a new version one, FREE of charge too!! I wanted them to fix the leak, they just gave me a new one, they are a top notch company!

He even just called me to check and see if I got it ok as I had to pick it up after he left and everything is working ok, top notch customer service, I'm grateful to have him as a friend, thanks for all the hard work Sean, this was a BIOTCH of a job, now he's an expert on 6 speeds and these Street Twins.
